Runs and umps
My dad is watching the Seattle Mariners' opening game of the season on TV. That's baseball, FYI. Sometimes I watch a game with him to try to keep him company. When I first started doing that, there was a time that I commented, "The Mariners need more points to catch up." After a little pause, my dad said, "Not that it matters, but it's not points in baseball; it's runs." Later I said, "That ref mad a bad call." After another pause, my dad said, "It's not important, but it's not a ref, it's an umpire." Since then I can watch baseball more knowledgeably.
