Well, so, walking around the block with my dog lately, everyone's crocuses are done and pretty much gone. The forsythia, which was next to bloom, is still out. Daffodils--some are in full bloom, others are opening. Hyacinths are in bloom. And magnolias are blooming. A few azaleas are in partial bloom, but most are not out yet.
In Bellingham, when I drive to work, quite a few ornamental fruit trees are in bloom. Bellingham's blooming is usually a little in advance of Lynden's. Bellingham is on the water, while Lynden is inland.
It will be stunning to drive around Lynden when all the azaleas and rhodies are in bloom. My understanding is that in this region those plants thrive because we have the rather acidic soil they enjoy, and what causes the acidity is the dropping needles of the evergreens. This is the Evergreen State.
