Misc. plants

I forget what this plant is called. My dad had it for a few years, but this past winter really did a number on it. This spring it seemed to have three viable leaves on the base, but they seemed to get scorched when we had a couple sunny days. So now I have this in the shade, and I am giving it, too, the chance to live if it will.
