Budding, etc.

The leaves are budding out on this tree, which is along my walk with the dog. I think it is a lilac, but I'm not sure.

Some small pansies at the base of a tree. These probably seeded last year. They're "volunteers," as one of my flower-growing aunts says. So I could apply the name "Johnny Jump Up," which is an alternative name for pansies.


I forget what this tree is called, if I ever knew, but I like the bell-shaped flowers.
