Like spring

We've had a couple of spring-like days. I'm glad. I feel sorry for people in the Midwest and East who are still getting winter weather.

Spring is the Period
by Emily Dickinson

Spring is the Period
Express from God.
Among the other seasons
Himself abide,

But during March and April
None stir abroad
Without a cordial interview
With God.

do not feel sad for us.

we just got two feet of glorious, glorious snow and everything looks wide open and clean and in the last two hours the clouds cleared and the sky is blue and from my sofa i can see the incredible mountain and the marvelous delightful snow will not melt right away because tonight it's going to be well below zero and tomorrow and for days to come the skiing will be FANTASTIC.

song lyrics:

peggy keeps my bullwheel turning
she's my queen, my number one.
long as i am at her elbow
i don't care if spring don't come.

peggy dow's is a ski trail on the mountain near my house. you get to it off the number one chair. and the bullwheel is the big wheel at the ends of a ski lift.
