Of many colors

I was intrigued to see a yellow flower had come out on this plant, as an earlier blossom was red, or pink. Apparently the same plant can bloom in different colors. That seems an unusual quality to me.

My mother used to grow this multi color blossom plant. It's a portulaca. That's not spelled correct but I know the plant. You can find different varieties. The picture makes me want to go get one. Thanks.

Actually, you have the name right. And apparently it's also called a "moss rose." I didn't know when I bought it that it would get different color blooms. A nice surprise.
